FIRST COMMUNION FOR YOUTH
A child is prepared for and receives first Communion in 2nd grade. Preparation is closely shared between the parents and the child, and parents are expected to attend two parent sessions. In addition, a special Friendship Mass is celebrated during the year for the first Communion candidates and their parents. Prior to first Communion, the child will be interviewed by the parish priest with one of the parents present.
Older children who have been in the Religious Education program for at least one year are enrolled in a Special Sacrament class in preparation for first Communion and reconciliation.
FIRST COMMUNION FOR ADULTS
Adults who have not received this sacrament are enrolled in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and receive first communion at the Easter Vigil Mass.
More information on this sacrament can be found in the Adult Education section of this website. You may also contact Danny Rodriguez or parish secretary Juanita Rodriguez-Rocha at (262) 656-7373.
