CONFIRMATION FOR YOUTH
Through the sacrament of confirmation, Christians are given the charismatic gifts necessary to live their lives as adults within the Church. Through confirmation, the third sacrament of Christian initiation, individuals confirm their commitment to their faith.
Because of the importance of confirmation, youth begin a three-year preparatory program in 9th grade that continues though 11th grade. The program consists of instruction, service, and prayer/retreat experiences.
A preparatory class for the sacrament of confirmation is offered to high school students who have been in our Religious Education program.
For more information, contact the Religious Education Office at (262) 656-7362.
CONFIRMATION FOR ADULTS
Church law requires this sacrament to have been received in order for a person to be a sponsor at another's baptism. It should also be received before the sacrament of marriage to give the persons about to become parents the graces needed to share their faith with their children. More information is here.
Twice per year preparatory classes are held for adults 18 and older who have not celebrated the sacrament of confirmation. The classes provide faith and learn more about the Catholic faith, ultimately leading to adult confirmation
Additional information on this sacrament can be found in the Adult Education section of this website.
